Personal discount code for influencers

Hey there, I have once worked for a company that offered influencers a discount code so that the influencers could buy what they want at a lower price and promote that product. Just to be clear this code is only for the influencer. I was thinking maybe I could just use discount coupon codes, but I'm scared seeing that nowadays there are softwares that can search for coupon codes on your website. Is this possible with Shopify and is it safe from these softwares?

I suggest having the influencer create an account on your website, and then you add them to a specific customer group just for influencers. See how to add customers to a group here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/customers/manage-customers#create-customer-groups

You could then create a discount code that only influencers in that customer group could redeem.
