SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
I run a women’s shoe brand and currently use META ads to drive traffic. My campaigns achieve a strong 5% click-through rate (CTR), but my conversion rate is alarmingly low at just 0.4%.
Here is my website: https://www.bussolastyle.com/
From what I understand, e-commerce conversion rates typically fall between 1%-3%, so it’s clear there’s a significant gap in my results.
Please review my website and provide an evaluation score. If possible, I would greatly appreciate any optimization suggestions to help improve the conversion rate.
Thank you!
Hi there, Congratulations on achieving a 5% CTR with your META ads! That's impressive. I completely understand your concern about the low conversion rate. I've been in your shoes before, struggling to optimize my own fashion store's conversion rate. What worked for me was seeking expert guidance. I hired a professional to review my website, ad campaigns, and sales funnel. They identified key areas for improvement and implemented targeted optimizations. Their expertise helped me increase my conversion rate significantly im now making at least 15k monthlty I'm sure you can achieve similar results.

Hi @ML26
In general, it is a nice store. You have a decent theme and good images. But I can give you a few things that I did not like:
Also personally I would not buy from you as there are no clear business details.
You just have an email and socials, but no address, phone, or business details.
Good luck and I wish you good sales.
Hi @Laza_Binaery,

Your feedback is invaluable, and I’m excited to implement these changes to improve the shopping experience. If you have any additional tips or resources you’d recommend, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks again for your thoughtful suggestions.
Hi! I hear you, To boost conversions, try improving your product pages with clear images, detailed descriptions, and sizing info. Simplify the checkout process and add trust signals like reviews or secure payment options. I run https://tonightsmakeup.com/ on Shopify and use similar tactics to drive better results. Hope that helps!
Hi @nickemery,
Thank you for sharing your tips! These are great reminders, and I’ll definitely review my site to ensure these elements are optimized.
Your store looks fantastic, and it’s inspiring to hear that these strategies have worked well for you. If you have any additional insights or tools you’ve found particularly effective on Shopify, I’d love to hear about them!
Thanks again for your advice!
Hi @ML26
Your website’s aesthetic and product focus are solid, but performance issues might be the key factor behind your low conversion rate. Based on GoogleSpeed Insights assessment, the mobile performance score of 32 is concerning, especially as most e-commerce traffic comes from mobile users. A disorganized landing page with heavy images/video can frustrate potential customers and lead to drop-offs.

Hi @Akus,
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and for pointing out the performance issues with my website. I appreciate you taking the time to run a Google Speed Insights assessment and share the results. I agree that mobile optimization is critical, especially since most of our traffic comes from mobile users.
I’ll prioritize compressing images and implementing lazy loading to improve loading times. Thank you for recommending tools like TinyPNG and Squoosh; I’ll explore these right away.
Hey @ML26 , this is Alexis from Akohub.
First off, your site looks great, and it’s awesome that your Meta ads are driving a solid 5% CTR! That’s no small feat, so you’re already off to a strong start. Now, let’s tackle that conversion rate and figure out how to turn all that traffic into paying customers. The first thing I noticed is your Black Friday banner. While the discount is eye-catching, the multiple offers (20% off, 10%, 20% extra for 3 items) could be a little overwhelming for visitors. Try simplifying the messaging to something like “20% Off Sitewide – This Weekend Only” to make the offer clearer and create urgency. Simpler messaging often helps reduce decision fatigue and keeps customers focused on buying. Your navigation is solid, but I’d suggest adding filters to your product categories (like size, color, and price). This makes it easier for shoppers to find exactly what they’re looking for without feeling lost. The more seamless the browsing experience, the higher the chance they’ll add something to their cart. For your product pages, make sure to highlight customer reviews or testimonials prominently. If you don’t have many reviews yet, consider offering an incentive like points or discounts in exchange for honest feedback. To do this, you can use our app, Ako loyalty to reward customers for not just purchases but also things like signing up, leaving reviews, or referring friends. It’s a great way to build trust and encourage repeat visits.
Have you thought of running retargeting ads? It helps to bring back visitors who didn't convert the first time around. Show them the products they viewed along with a small discount as this can be super effective for turning “maybe” into “yes!” If you’re looking for an all-in-one solution, our app, Ako Retargeting, combines retargeting with loyalty and CRM features, helping you bring in new customers and keep them coming back.
Good luck! Let us know how it works out for you! 🚀
Hi @Akohub,
Thank you so much for your kind words and valuable feedback! I truly appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed suggestions.
I originally thought that offering multiple discounts would be more appealing to customers, but I completely see your point about simplifying the messaging. A more direct approach like '20% Off Sitewide – This Weekend Only' is a fantastic idea and could definitely help reduce decision fatigue. I’ll look into making that adjustment.
As for customer reviews, we’ve already invited customers to leave feedback, but unfortunately, the response rate has been quite low.
Retargeting ads are a great suggestion too. While we’ve experimented with them in the past, I think combining retargeting with a small discount could make them more effective.
Hello @ML26 ,
Encouraging customers to leave a feedback is a common problem faced by our merchants. One thing that might help is tying it into a loyalty program. You could offer rewards points or discount codes to customers who leave reviews. For example, our client, LINE FRIENDS Taiwan did this recently, and it helped them boost their purchase rate by 80% in just 30 days. It’s a simple way to encourage more engagement and get those valuable reviews.
I also think your idea of combining retargeting with a small discount is spot on. It’s a proven method to re-engage customers and give them that final nudge to complete their purchase. Hi @ML26,
I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.
I would be happy to review your website and provide feedback on the performance. Here are my recommendations to improve your conversion rate:
1. Improve promotional banner and section on Homepage
You should add ATC, Shop now or add to the wish list buttons to encourage customers to buy your products. Here is a reference:
2. Improving abandoned cart rate
You can remind your customers about the products left in their carts and encourage them to finalize their purchase by:
Shopify help center has provided a guideline on this. You can check it here.
I don’t see your ads so I can’t make detailed recommendations on your landing page. But here are some recommendations from “Databox”. You can check more in this article.
“When CTR is high but the conversion rate is low that indicates a problem with the landing page, which is most commonly due to a lack of effective calls-to-action (CTA) on the page. The solution is to create a clear CTA like a “Buy Now” or “Read More” button. The CTA can be a clickable image overlaid with a small amount of text or a simple button.”
I hope my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback. Good luck!

Hello there @ML26 I think the two major suggestions I would make for your store would be to get some customer reviews displayed on the homepage and to incorporate some bundle packages and loyalty reward programs to draw in more customers in search of value and a long term site for shopping.
Heya!
Fret not. This is a common occurrence I have observed on Meta ad campaigns. After analyzing your website, I feel you can work a little on the landing page. The hero section can be reduced, and clearer fonts can be used in the navigation bar. You need to ensure that the potential customer's experience on your website is good. It is easy to lose customers when the landing page experience is not up to par.
Other things to keep in mind are:
Ensure that what you share in your ads matches the details of the product page. Even a minuscule mismatch can cause the customer to leave your product page.
Another thing and something that shouldn't be overlooked is following Facebook's guidelines on running ad campaigns. Ensure you are choosing the correct campaign objective. If budget allows, you can even utilize Advantage+ campaigns to enhance the performance of your ads.
Hope this helps 🙂
