Is there any way to add a color attribute in the Google Shopping App? Color is required for anything in the apparel/accessories google shopping category. What this means is that unless I create my list manually, all jewelry listings are dissproved due to missing color atttribute (essentially half my inventory). I put in a ticket yesterday, but I really need an answer on this asap.
Thanks!
Do you have the "Color" variant option for the product? I use DataFeedWatch for my AdWords clients, to manage all feeds. Makes feed creation and customization so much easier than the free app.
No, when my inventory was imported over, the color variants from the old system all translated across as individual items. That duplicated my inventory, so I had to delete it out. Also I don't want a drop down showing up on an item that is only one color.
I actually did try data feed watch, but didn't find it particularly intuitive, meaning I needed a little time to figure it out and go through/track down documentation. They wouldn't stop calling and emailing me which I found stressful and bordering on the edge of harrassment, and made me NOT want to set up any kind of appointment to talk to them (which I was going to do initially), much less purchase anything from them. One or two calls and one email to check in and alert me to things is fine, a call every single day (sometimes twice a day) is not okay.
I'm going to look into submitting a supplemental feed. If it works the way I think it will, then that will solve the issue. Fingers crossed! 🙂
