Hello all,

I need help with an issue regarding setting up the Facebook Pixel on my Shopify store and hope someone here has experienced something similar and can offer some advice. I have used partner integration from the beginning to implement the pixel on the shop.

The problem is that my Shopify store does not track data from the live store, but only from the admin section and through the theme builder. Here's what I've done so far:

  • I didn't find any Facebook Pixel code using Meta Pixel Helper, so I tried inserting the pixel manually, which caused it to track.
  • The pixel is only active when I'm in the admin/theme builder section and not on the live store. Here it tracks pretty much everything from pageview, add to cart, initiate checkout, etc.
  • If I set up the pixel manually in the theme, it will track on the live store, but I can't track initiate checkout or purchase as you don't have access to this code from Shopify.
  • I have been in contact with both Shopify and Facebook support, but have not yet found a solution to the problem.
  • Facebook believes that my pixel is working and that there is nothing wrong with it.
  • Shopify thinks I should contact a developer, which I have done. However, he can't find a solution beyond manually setting everything up - it should be noted that we still can't track initiate checkout or purchases via Facebook that way.
  • The developer thinks I should contact Shopify again, as the code is under the “admin” section, which we can't access, and they can get it fixed relatively quickly.

Has anyone experienced similar issues or have any suggestions on how I can get the Facebook Pixel to track correctly on the live store?

I really appreciate any help or suggestions!

It sounds like you've already taken several steps to troubleshoot the issue with your Facebook Pixel on your Shopify store. Since Facebook believes the pixel is working fine and Shopify suggests contacting a developer, it might be worth reaching out to a Shopify Expert for specialized assistance. They may be able to provide more targeted solutions or insights into the specific setup of your store.

Thanks for sharing your problem. Shopify partner program issue faced by My maximum clients. They initially starts with partner program then they face issuel.

All Tracking problem's solution Is Google Tag Manager. you don't need to take such stress when it comes to Google Tag Manager. It is manually set up and collects data seamlessly.
