@woodwork I'd suggest you begin by reviewing our Help Centre on the topic. If you have specific questions about your store, you can reach out to our support team. Or else I can suggest to search here on the Digital Community for responses and assistance from the merchant community. All the best!

Hi,
I put a question into the Chat during the live session’s question and answer time, but it didn’t seem to get answered. Google is saying I am missing some product attributes (including Size, Gender, etc.). How do I resolve this?
Thank you!

Hi @AlwaysLearning7 , thanks for reaching out! This seems to be an issue specific to your store and channel setup, so I would suggest you reach out to our support team for guidance if you have already reviewed our Help Centre steps on the topic. I will also do my best to queue you up with an team for an answer here. All the best!

Sarah, thank you for your response! How should I context the Support Team? Email? Or is there a link? Thanks in advance!

Hey @AlwaysLearning7,

Welcome to the Shopify Community!

To fix product data warnings, you’ll need to update the Google fields for the affected products. After you update your products, it can take three to five business days for Google to review them.

To add or update product data for an individual product:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Google.

  • In the Product feed section, select Not approved.

  • For each product, select Edit Google fields.

  • Add or update product data.

To show your products on Google, you need to follow Google’s product data guidelines. Google requires that you provide accurate information about your products so that they can be displayed to the appropriate customers, such as those searching for key terms that are found in your product description or browsing a product category that your product belongs to.

I'd also like to share Google's Product Categories so that you can find the exact category for your products and add this too using the bulk editor. This will help to improve your Ads performance once you start advertising. Something to note here is that any products that fall under the Apparel & Accessories categories (clothing, shoes, and jewelry) will also need to have Size, Color, Age, Condition, and Gender added to each item:

  • Size (Can be left blank if included in the variants)

  • Color (Can be left blank if included in the variants)

  • Age - required

  • Gender - required

  • Condition - required

TIP: If you have a large catalog and you might also be interested in the Google Bulk Product Editor & Sync app. It's free for up to 5 in-app edits per month so it could also help with some other attributes if you have multiple products in the same category for example.
