Run facebook ads specifically for checkout on facebook?

Hi there, I'm trying to advertise a single product for checkout on facebook but the ads platform seems to want to only promote the catalogue. Related, it's asking for a url, but I don't know what url to use, I assume I don't want to use my shop url because then people will go to my shop. Thanks!

You can use the Facebook app. Go to the shopify marketplace and install the
Facebook app from there. The Facebook Channel gives you all the tools you
need to successfully sell and market across Facebook and Instagram. Your
followers can automatically check out via your website or directly on the
app (US only).

That hasn't been my experience, and shopify support hasn't been able to help. When you set up a 'marketing activity' via shopify, and then look at the ad on your facebook ad manager there's no destination specified or it specifies check out on web, but there's no way that I've found so far to specific the shop on facebook with a url.  The default for this process also has the ads going everywhere, vs specifying only having them appear in the newsfeed.
