I launched www.stylemypad.com a few months ago. Initially I had sales and traffic coming through. But have since seen a decrease. Has anyone else been having similar issues? And how have you resolved them?
I have advertised on facebook but this didn't really amount to much. I have joined many groups on facebook and post regularly on them. I also have an instagram account.
I would be very grateful for any feedback and hopefully can get my store moving.
If you had sales before, it isn't your website that will be the root of failure, rather the marketing and scaling attempts you are doing.
Question: are you running look a like audiences with your marketing. if you had success with past customers and ads, I highly suggest looking into these.
If you would like to discuss scaling opportunities I really think I can help. 15 minutes out of your day for a quick phone call is all it will take. Let me know if you are interested and i look forward to hearing from you :)
The main landing page of your store does not seem to be organized. There's a lot of empty space which you can use to display your best products. Also, having symmetrically placed images will also help. Having an about us page on your website helps in building trust and with SEO as well. Read this to get help with writing an about us page.
I would like to know more about the facebook campaigns you have tried till now. I could see that you do not have pixel installed on your store. Having a facebook pixel is a must as it helps you retarget people who have already visited your store. These are your leads and you can increase your sales by offering them a discount code.
I visited your Instagram. I observed that you mostly post product pictures. Posting other content is as much necessary. You can try and build a visual theme for yor Instagram profile. Orangetwig's Instasuccess toolkit allows you to make all your posts clickable. This will help you in increasing your sales.
Hope this helps
My name is Morgan, I am part of the Social Media team here at Shopify.
Thanks for reaching out over the forums. I'd be happy to offer some insight on your shop and a few other tips to elevate your business!
In terms of your site specifically, here are some thing I'd consider looking into:
1. I see you have a page with your delivery information, this is a great start! I recommend adding a bit more information on this page, or possible a separate page which could include: A contact us page, About us page, or FAQ's. The more information you can give about your business, and what customers can expect, the more your customers will trust to order from you.
2. I'd possibly make the logo a bit smaller on your home page, so that at first glance you can see more of the site than the header.
3. Also, I recommend expanding your homepage to develop the brands feel and aesthetic. Adding "lookbook"/catalog type pictures and content can really help paint a picture of your brand/business. Here's some example shops that use Shopify. (https://www.shopify.ca/examples). Take a look at how they utilize content on their home page rather than strictly products. It should really help!
4. Lastly, adding some information to your product pages can help intrigue and catch the eye of customers. They need to be convinced and have a reason to purchase from you and not another furniture retailer! Here's a great guide on perfect product descriptions for conversions.
In terms of advertising:
Advertising is only effective if the ads are appearing to the proper demographic and customer base. Have you tried out different audiences and seen an increase or decrease in engagement from your customers? If not, I recommend trying some different audiences to test how effective your ads are.
Here's also a guide on targeting your audience for optimal conversions!
I hope this gives you a few things to consider. Let me know if you have any questions on this!

Morgan from Shopify has mentioned some great points! I have checked your website and I think it's well designed but there are a few things that make it look a little unprofessional.
It's great that your main product images have the same size, it would be even better if they all have the same white background:
You can remove the "Powered by Shopify" message easily, check this article.
Thanks to email forwarding, you can use a professional looking email address on Shopify for free.
It's better if the social media links are opening in the new tab instead of redirecting the customer elsewhere. It's an easy setup, here's a manual. Furthermore, your Facebook link leads to m.facebook.com instead of facebook.com.
Adding informational pages as Morgan mentioned above is very important, it will help you to look more trustworthy.
As for the marketing, if you manage to bring some traffic but your sales are decreasing, you might wanna try dynamic remarketing - personalized ads with products your visitors left in the cart or have browsed. Sometimes, the visitors make a purchase immediately but usually, they need more than one visit to make a decision and it's good to remind them of your store. Our app ROI Hunter Easy can help you with the setup and it's available for both Google and Facebook.
I hope it helps,
Great question! Thanks for writing.
Wanted to throw in my $0.02 on this issue…
If your solution to everything is “just add in more keywords,” then you don’t know how to optimize.
The question you need to ask is:
How does the digitla marketing strategy align with our company goals?
If you need Google to be the channel for driving purely new customer acquisition, aka, first time purchasers, align with that objective. Ask your PPC vendor or agency:
What channel tactics with Google are most effective for driving those people? How would structure your account around acquisition versus retention? What are the three tools that are most effective, and what are the three coolest tools you’re most excited about?
Anyway, we blogged about this today if you want some additional questions for vetting a digital marketing agency: https://bit.ly/2Ox749u
Hope that helps! See ya
I hope you are well

This is UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing - We are the no.1 Affiliate marketing on Shopify app store.
I am happy here to share some experience and suggestions for your online store. And I truly hope that they are useful and helpful for you in improving your sales performance.
I totally you are just starting your business. Firstly, congratulation for your first step. It would be hard at the beginning. Most other business would be same as you when beginning, and now they are successful. So be patient!
1. Your online store
I have just taken a quick look at your website. The plus points are:
Here are some suggestions you can consider to improve:
You should setting a sticky menu . If the headers keep disappearing, it makes it hard to find what the customer is looking for. That is why if you make your headers sticky. This helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the navigation bar at anytime.
2. Marketing strategy
One of most popular reason leads to decreasing sales is about marketing strategy.
With marketing campaign, you should spend first priority to find the methods which brings positive results. Customers cannot actively find you if they don't know your brand and products.
Tip 1: Increase Shopify sales with popup promotions
Popups are a great way to draw your customers’ attention towards these promotions and offers.
Some people believe that popups can be pesky, driving customers away. This might be true for those who are using them incorrectly. But when done in the right way at the right time, popups can lead to the conversion of 40% of your store’s visitors into customers. All you need is the right Shopify app to increase sales.
I saw you have some SALE campaign. You should create your popup whenever a customer go in to your shop. That would be % discount for first customer, or an introduction about some sale products, etc.
Tip 2: Run Facebook ads
Running ads such as Facebook ads, or Instagram ads, even Google ads are popular methods to viral your products faster. You can get more knowledge and experience here: Facebook Ads for beginners. With Google Ads, you can easily attract target customers that are looking for the products you are selling. You can set your ads with different keywords, or banner as well. However, you should consider it because it is not really a potential choice for starters. The reason is that you might cost a lost of money to run for long term. In some specific case, if it don't bring positive traffics for you, you also need to pay fee to maintain them. We know it because we know many customers get same issues.
Tip 3: Affiliate marketing
My recommendation is that you should think about another safer and suitable methods for your business. Affiliate marketing could be a good option for your. Affiliate marketing is a marketing model which allows you to connect with various affiliates, and then they will use their advertising sources such as social media channels, websites, blogs, etc, to promote your products. You only need to pay affiliate commission whenever a customer makes a purchase via the unique link or coupon associated with their recommendation.
How to publish your affiliate registration on your menu bar?
You can add the affiliate registration form on the shop menu, so any visitors who visit your site can easily approach your affiliate campaign.
Your affiliate can create an account and log in right in your shop, which is really simple and convenient.
Here are some benefits of affiliate marketing:
Make extra income
The main advantage of affiliate marketing is that the income is entirely performance-based. This is because affiliates are only paid a commission when a purchase has taken place. That means if the affiliates have an ineffective campaign, it won’t affect your budget.
The affiliates understand that driving huge traffic of potential customers will help to increase sales conversion. For this reason, the affiliates will spend much effort to build effective social platforms, promotion or boosting posts of your products in a better way to attract customers. The more efficiently they work, the more commission they generate, and the more sales you earn.
Low investment but high cost effective
In fact, affiliate marketing does not need a huge amount to build a customer service team, or running advertising. This campaign helps to mitigate any risks that drive traffic or run social ads with little or no result for your Shopify business, while also ensuring that merchants achieve what they pay for.
In fact, whereas a poor marketing campaign that sends you low quality results will still need to be paid for, even if you make no sales. However, affiliate marketing ensures your marketing is cost effective and helps to reduce the risk of “leaking out” money for an uncertain market.
With UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing, generating an affiliate program allows you to tap into potential sources of traffic and revenue that you would otherwise not be getting. This is especially true of physical products, for which affiliates can do product review blog posts or videos, for example.
Promote business brand name
A research reported that 92% of customers trust the recommendations of people, companies or influencers they know. For this reason, working directly with affiliate marketers who then promote your products to their established audience, brings more opportunities and more direct sales. The plus of affiliate marketing is to expand out into new markets that you haven't explored, giving your brand a much stronger online presence.
I hope my recommendation will be helpful for you. If you are still looking for a marketing tool to boost your sales greatly, I hope you can try our product: UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing

I've taken a look at your store and found there are quite a few things which if added can make better conversions.
1. Add a detailed product description in product pages.
2. Add product reviews as most of the customers read the review before purchasing the product.
3. Add Contact Us page for better customer interaction.
4. You can add testimonials on the home page to make the store look more professional.
5. A FAQ would be useful!
6. Add About Us page which is a reflection of the purpose and personality of the business.
7. Add more specific product title/url in product pages.
Creating the perfect SEO product title/url can help the search engine understand exactly what it is you are selling and drive more traffic to your site. So try to keep the product title/url unique and more specific.
8. Add filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they're looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, category)
You will get less sales and traffic if your products are not found on Google. When your customers search on Google, your product can be found only if Google has indexed the page. flareAI will show which pages are found on Google, and which are not. flareAI also helps to get your new products found on Google, the world's largest FREE eCommerce sales channel
