Schema Markup for Events as shopify products

Hi!

I need to add schema markup to my shopify website and products so google understands they are events. The show depends on it! I really want to be featured in rich snippets on google about upcoming events. I have experiments with he free JSON google tool but I think I need more help to really nail it. It seems many shopify compatible apps are more for products and don't really deal with events. Any ideas?

If it's working you need to be specific what you think is missing otherwise it's just arm flailing on anyone else's part.

Shopify objects miss a lot of properties needed for Event structured data markup (https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/event#structured-data-type-defi...). 

Products, on the other hand has most of required properties as standard.

This is why there is no popular solution for events, but there are for products.

One can obviously use metafields/metaobjects to add required data to product object and output proper JSON-LD based on this.

Would require some custom code though.

Because Shopify focuses more on selling products. So many apps don't do event JSON LD.
You can seek help from professionals. In fact, Google has instructions for code writing, but you need to pay attention that if some attributes are missing, a schema error prompt will appear.
