Hi there, if you have duplicate meta descriptions you might also have other duplicate metadata. Here's how to fix your meta descriptions, looks like these are located on your blog page, but it's the same process to fix for pages and products as well.
Open your blog post and find the "Search Engine Listing Preview." You will need to change the descriptions for each page. I would recommend submitting them to Google once you are done for faster updating.
Here's a screenshot of one of my company posts. The description area is highlighted red, this is what the report you showed wants you to update and to be unique for each blog post/page.
Best of luck!
I understand what you mean. First of all, I don’t know how I could edit each page. I can edit Blog Posts. Meta descriptions as well. But these are not listed tagged pages. I don't even know where to go.
I see, your theme is pulling that description from somewhere when you are creating your tags to group your blog posts into categories.
Should also fix the title tags when you find where it's located.
This needs to be located in your theme and edited. Without looking at your theme code, I couldn't tell you specifically where to find this. Someone might have dealt with this already on their theme and can respond.
In a good scenario, you will be able to edit each description individually. In a not so great scenario, your theme might be creating these pages using a replicated method that would need to be changed for you to be able to control it how you want.
On the bigger scale, duplicate descriptions can definitely impact your rankings and SEO depending on the state of the rest of your site. If the end goal is for prime SEO I would recommend doing an SEO audit and working on fixing all the issues as a whole.
