SEO ranking on google

Hello, I have a question. When you get ranked for google does the keyword it goes with in the META title and description or is it the product title? I always thought it was the product title but I am not sure. I at least hope it is. Thank you

The title of the product will be the meta title.

oh ok. My product title and meta title are different so should I change my meta title to the same as my product title?
