I'm using a Klaviyo pop form up to collect email marketing subscribers. Over the past day something has change and during some testing I noticed when the pop up form was submitted there was no opt in email was been sent from my Klaviyo flow as it should have and had been in the past.
When I looked at my customer segment in Shopify I noticed Shopify was automatically tagging the new customer from the pop up for as NOT SUBSCRIBE straight away hence why Klaviyo flow was not being triggered. How do I get shopify to go back to the normal pending status so the Klaviyo will be triggered so the opt in email from Klaviyo will be sent.

try klaviyo Lists & Segments and open the list your pop-up form is connected to.
Click Settings and check if "Double Opt-In" is enabled. If it's off, Shopify might be marking subscribers incorrectly Try enabling it to see if it restores the normal behavior but if
you prefer single opt-in, you may need to manually adjust Shopify’s handling of new subscribers.

I had a look at this setting and it's set to double opt in which I require. I believe it most likely a shopify setting that is not working rather a Klaviyo setting.
Have you take a look at the shopify klaviyo sync, sometimes a sync error might cause shopify to miscategorized new sub if needed you can try disconnecting and reconnecting shopif with klayviyo
Hi Thanks for the suggestion. The sync is working fine as the abandoned checkout flow is working fine.
The checkbox for Automatically subscribe customers to newsletter seems to be missing from that menu
