Shopify <> Google Analytics Not Working Properly

Hi all,

I'm having some very weird discrepancies in our google analytics transaction and order information.

It's showing roughly 75% less orders on my google analytics account than in the Shopify overview.

I have it hardcoded into the backend of the Shopify site so it should work properly.... I also have enhanced ecommerce turned on and have added our funnel steps for our subscription products app.

Anyone have any thoughts on how I can solve this issue?

Thanks ahead of time!

What do you mean by hardcoded? Are you using Shopify's standard Google Analytics setup with enhanced ecommerce?

did you add your google code from analytics to the shopify admin dashboard?  this is the best way to initially integrate this instead of just placing the code in the the code for your theme.

Looks like tagmanager may be called twice but you should move the script to the shopify dashboard, then test it over a few days to see if it changes.

Yeah that's what I've done. The GTM code is tracking our newletter sign ups not google analytics.

Hi,

We have checked your site, everything seems fine on the front-end but there are many conditions through which Google Analytics measures the data which sometimes includes "sampling." Which occurs after a given amount of hits your property has recieved. So, it will be recommended to perform an Analytics audit so that tracking is always on the "right-track."

Thanks
