I am using shopify pixel to track conversion in the customer events section. However I noticed after setting up the pixel there, my pages url on GA all startted to have prefix, something like this /wpm@b066555w123456p5dc7d5444bee9e66/custom/web-pixel-1555455@1/sandbox/modern/
followed by the path url.
Anyone having the the same issue?

For anyone facing the same issue, the quickest solution I've found is to clean up the URLs in Google Tag Manager.

There is no such thing in settings! I think you are mixing Shopify settings with another platform.
Actually, you should try to provide some value in your responses. I know the setting section for Shopify and the answer you gave is litrally none existant! I was polite considering you were just BS with your answer.

Saying that, can you share how I should fix this in GTM? I have used a Shopify pixel to implement this and really struggling to get it working.
It keeps adding a load of junk in the middle of my URLs
e.g
/wpm@960565caw95f6f6d6pe10748f4mf4569064/custom/web-pixel-25755807@1/sandbox/modern/cart

yes possible to send the main URL instead of the sandbox URL.
when we implement the datalayer in the customer event custom pixel we have to create 3 datalayer variables to send with every event.

I have the similar issue, my google app shows as disconnected on my 'customer event page'. I have all my tagging and accounts are set up and linked properly, I think. my url is www.idaactive.com and is showing the right tags.
@surewaydm I'm having this same issues. I've narrowed down that is started in early Nov 2024, but I don't recall what changes I did...mainly b/c I made many changes to the site at that time.
When you say you "cleaned up the URLs in GTM" are you referring to having them all filters in GA4 or what did you specifically do?
This isn't happening to all my URL either. I can't pin-point what is causing it. But I did start using an app for Landing Pages called Pagefly. Do you think an app would be causing this?
