Hi all, recently I followed Google's support upgrade my GA(UA) to GA4, then I found I couldn't see any e-commerce data (also called monetization data). I've done some research and learned that if I want to see monetization data in GA4, I need to install GTM on my website first; then I found out I couldn't install GTM on my checkout page unless I have to pricy Shopify Plus Program.
My question is, in order to see the e-commerce (monetization data), should I need to downgrade my GA(UA) to GA4 (Though the GA(UA) is gonna quit in the middle of 2023, we could just pray Shopify would change their mind at that time.)
I hope somebody can give me some suggestions, thank you!

Downgrading to GA would be a problem after GA's demise. If your target is tracking checkout and customer payment submission. You may consider Shopify customer events( new Shopify feature). Currently Shopify doesn't require plus plan to get the data. To use it without coding job. You may consider Attribuly, this app is (maybe) first Shopify customer events integration to makes sure you get highest accurate conversion tracking in maket.
