I have had my shop opened for 8 weeks now, one eight pound sale. offered discount codes etc.

Have 11 people signed up for my newsletter - sent those out with discounts, and new products etc.

I have spend over 200 on google ads, 100 on Facebook advertising, and 200 on a developer to improve my site .

so 500 in 8 weeks and nothing to show for it .

I notice that your store has an unclear layout, your store menu is too dense, and there are no highlights in the UX/UI interface design, making customers confused about your products. In addition, your website does not have a design that matches the products you sell. Moreover, there are no promotional activities to attract new customers.

 

In my opinion, in general, your store needs to improve a lot in UX/UI, and need marketing strategies to attract more customers to your store:

1. Website Review and Optimization
User Experience (UX): Ensure your website is easy to navigate, mobile-friendly, and visually appealing. Improve the store's menu, simplify the menu, and design the brand icon to increase recognition. In addition, change the website color to better match the store's products.
Product Descriptions: Ensure your product descriptions are detailed, engaging, and include keywords for SEO.
High-Quality Images: Use high-quality images that showcase your products well. Include multiple angles and lifestyle images if possible.
Call to Action (CTA): Make sure your CTAs are clear and compelling. Phrases like "Buy Now," "Shop Today," and "Limited Time Offer" can create a sense of urgency.

 

2. Marketing and Advertising
Target Audience: Ensure your ads are targeted to the right audience. Use demographics, interests, and behaviors to narrow down your target market.

Agree with the above. Site needs serious CRO work. 

 

Look up and follow best practices and go from there.

 

Honestly could see this work. The bare minimum solid layout that offers better user experience combined with some simple ads is a good start. Keep at it.
