Hi I followed the instructions on this https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/promoting-marketing/seo/find-site-map but couldn’t get the meta tag code to paste into my theme, all it said on google console that it was a success, but I didn’t get a code to paste into my theme like it’s shown on this tutorial?

to make sure one more thing Have you Disabled your Store Password Protection. as if its enable google won't be able to verify the domain.

If it was a success, it's possible you had the website verified through some other means previously. If you're able to review the domain in Google Search Console, it is verified.

What other means? Your tutorial clearly shows that there is a code that you need to post on your theme code, so what other means are you talking about? Please read the question again.
