Hello Shopify Community,
I’m seeking advice regarding the suspension of my Shopify store, Evre Jewels (URL: 4cd1a8-77.myshopify.com). My store is currently under development, has not been made live, and is still within the free trial period. It's only 4 days old, and I was in the process of uploading products and working on the theme design when I received a notice of suspension.
I want to emphasize that there have been no violations of Shopify’s policies, as the store hasn’t been publicly launched yet. I’ve received an email asking me to explain why I’m disputing the suspension, and I’ve already submitted a detailed response explaining that the store is under construction and hasn't been accessible to customers.
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue with a store that’s still in development? Any insights or suggestions on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Jessica Sawyer
Hi Jessica,
The rules guiding what can be in stores apply from the second you open the store. If there was something on there that breached Shopify's TOS, the fact that it isn't yet live to the public doesn't matter. From their point of view, it's a few clicks away from being live, so for practical purposes it already is.
Your only option is to engage with them, ask for clarification of what exactly caused the suspension then remove/amend that content, if they unlock the store for you.
Hello,
thanks for the reply. I have contacted them through the form they send and also mailed them but all in vain. I know we have to follow the tos and there any many factors too. but they apply when i did something as mentioned at the stage there is nothing live and nor the terms are break that a simple jewelry store that are being designed
