Tagged Page Redirect to Collection pages

Is it good to redirect my https://abc.com/collections/ingredients/herbs  tag page to https://abc.com/collections/herbs. Will it going to cost me in SEO or any other way negatively.

Are you using 301 or 302 redirects?  Typically 301 should cause less of a penalty then 302.  302s do not pass SEO juice.  301s will pass most of the juice but you may still take a hit.  Ping me if you need more help.

According to google -Google is never again “punishing” 301 diverts through loss of PageRank,remember that PageRank is just a single flag out of hundreds that Google uses to rank pages.

Preferably, if you 301 redirect a page, and the main thing that changes is the URL, at that point in principle you may expect no activity misfortune with these.
