Hi @Perry07612

Is this from the app? If it is, you need to reach out the app provider.

Please share your store URL so I can check if it's from an app or a feature in your theme. Thanks!

Hi @Perry07612

I totally get how frustrating it can be when you’re trying to update something on your Shopify theme, but the code isn’t jumping out at you. Let’s walk through how to fix this step by step. Don’t worry—it’s not as scary as it seems!

1. Identify the Section

The first thing to do is figure out what part of your store you’re trying to edit. Is it a banner, footer, or product section? Usually, the name of the section matches what you see in your Shopify theme editor.

2. Check Theme Editor (No Code Needed Yet)

Before diving into code, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize. Most of the time, you can tweak text, images, or settings directly in the theme editor without touching any code. Look for the section you're editing, and make sure to save changes.

3. Inspect the Theme Code

If you can’t find the option in the editor:

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes and click Actions > Edit Code: https://prnt.sc/DVzk-BYGniPf
  2. Search for the section file you want to change. These are usually under Sections or Snippets. For example:
    • If it’s a banner, look for files like banner.liquid.
    • If it’s in the footer, check footer.liquid.

Once you find the file, look for the part that matches the content or layout you want to edit. Liquid code can be intimidating, but the file names are your best clues!

4. Use Developer Tools to Pinpoint Issues

If you’re stuck, use your browser's inspect tool (right-click and select "Inspect") to find where the content is pulling from. This might help you locate the exact file in the Shopify code.

5. Get Help or Backup Before Editing

If you're nervous about breaking anything, make a backup! Duplicate your theme before editing it:

  • Go to Actions > Duplicate in the Themes menu.
  • This way, if anything goes wrong, you can switch back.

6. Still Can't Find It?

Sometimes, themes rely on apps or third-party integrations. If you’ve installed apps, check their settings—they might control that content.

If you’re still stuck, drop me another message. I’d be happy to guide you further or help troubleshoot this more deeply.

If you need any other assistance, I am willing to help.
Best regards,
Daisy.
