SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
What do others find most successful in getting Shopify traffic AND conversions? Social Media? Google Ads? A marketing firm? Influencers? We've tried all of these with no success. We sell a lot on Amazon and Walmart so we know people buy, but they just don't buy on Shopify. Ideas? givsoftbutter.com

Hello @givsoftbutter I think the main recipe is just the right blend of social media marketing, e-mail marketing and SEO. The fact that you make sales on other platforms is atleast enough proof that your product is quality, all you need to do it on Shopify too is to get it across on the right mediums. Have you ever considered hiring a Shopify expert highly skilled in this role before?

Thank you! We have not, do you have a recommendation?
It's Erlan from Growave
SEO is king - Use Ahrefs (or similar) to find relevant SEO-relevant keywords your audience is searching for and optimize your product pages. Add a blog with useful, keyword-rich content to drive organic traffic. The app also lets you analyze your competitors and see which keywords they are using.
Fix your site - Speed matters. Google loves fast-loading sites, and certain animations on your site can affect its speed. Design matters, too. Make it clean, fast, and mobile-friendly - a slow or clunky site kills conversions. BTW, you have a really nice-looking site.
Email + SMS marketing - You’re already selling on Amazon/Walmart, so capture emails on your site and re-market to those people directly. Abandoned cart sequences work like magic. You can invest in an app like Klaviyo for email and SMS marketing.
Influencers are tricky - Many brands waste money here. Instead of paying big names, partner with micro-influencers who have highly engaged audiences (and make them affiliates so they have skin in the game).
Google Ads + retargeting - If cold traffic doesn’t convert, retargeting ads can bring them back once they trust your brand.
Loyalty marketing - A loyalty app can drive traffic to your Shopify store by rewarding customers with points, discounts, or exclusive perks for repeat purchases, referrals, and social media engagement. These incentives encourage customers to return, share your store with others, and make more frequent purchases, boosting traffic and sales. If you're looking for a solution, Growave offers a range of features to help enhance customer loyalty and engagement. BTW, it integrates with the email and SMS marketing app Klaviyo and also has a review feature.
Social proof + urgency - Add reviews, trust badges, and things like "low stock" or "X people are viewing this now" to create FOMO.
Basically - make it easier for customers to find you (SEO), make your site frictionless, and don’t just drive traffic - nurture it with email & loyalty marketing.
Make sure to provide value to your customers if you decide to start a blog.
Good luck!
