Hi everyone,

I'm new here and have had my store for almost two months.  I'm having trouble with traffic and conversions so I'm looking for some tips on how to improve both.  I've tried one paid campaign and got some traffic but still no sales from it.  I'm currently using two ad exchange apps(Automizely & Ads) and my site is https://pricepupil.com .

Thanks

Hi @Nate4221 , I think the answer here will come from you gaining expertise in google shopping.

Fairly obviously a drop ship site that is competing against other drop shippers who got there before you.

My personal advice would be to rename all of your products based on some keyword research suing Moz etc...

Then promote the products through google shopping. You will get a much more accurate and less competed opportunity to convert your customers.

Happy to help, built so many stores I cant remember. Particular help with themes and setting up for overseas sales.

I'm not familiar with Moz. Is that an app on the Shopify store or is there one that's similar there? thanks for the help.

Hi @Nate4221

All-in-one marketing platform Growave is here. Since you have tried paid campaign and got some traffic but still no sales from it, it could mean that visitors didn't find your store reliable enough to make a purchase. Therefore, I would suggest working on customer trust and social proof. Here are some suggestions that you can work on. I hope it would help.

First of all, I would recommend you to check web analytics to see how people behave on your site. I suppose one of the reasons for experiencing low conversion rates could be that visitors don’t trust you. Therefore,

  • Add Reviews / Testimonials. Attach to your store real customer text or photo reviews in order to build customer trust and social proof.
  • Add more sections (About Us, Contact Us) to your Main Menu. Also, consider increasing the size of letters.
  • Add Wishlist

Offering a Wishlist is an effective way to reduce shopping cart abandonment and fulfill sales from customers who showed intent but didn't purchase. You offer various products (Pets Car & Truck Electronics Health & Fitness Decor), I would recommend adding a Wishlist to improve the user experience. If the items on the Wishlist have not been purchased, automated emails will be sent out as a reminder.

  • Add Referral Program

I suggest you take into consideration the Referral program in order to give your customers an opportunity of sharing your products with friends and get rewarded for that. It will drive traffic to your store.

  • Implement Social Login

Attach Social Login buttons anywhere on your Shopify site and enable one-click sign-up or login to your online store. You can let customers log in using their Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Yahoo, Tumblr, Instagram, or Amazon accounts.

5.pngTest Growave during the free trial period to check whether it works for you. The app contains 5 efficient marketing features that will help you with sales and traffic such as Reviews, Wishlist, Rewards & Loyalty, Social Login, a shoppable Instagram gallery on Shopify store under one dashboard.

Hi Beardown85,

As I see that you've gotten already several responses regarding your site, I'll jump straight to how you can improve your traffic and conversions.

Your online marketing strategies and campaigns play a huge key factor on your traffic and conversions. You want to ensure you are using the right kind of ads and the right kind of promotions for your product, brand and goals you are trying to achieve in order to fully optimize sales.

Here are some tips:

  • Do you have any social media accounts? If not, this is a good place to start. Social media platforms present an awesome opportunity to raise brand awareness, build strong relationships with customers, and above all, create buzz around your products and any possible promotions you may have.
  • What kind of ads are you using to promote your store? Google offers several types of ads for marketers and advertisers and you should absolutely take full advantage of Google Ads for your Shopify store. Since your store doesn't focus on any niche market or product, I personally believe the best type of advertising for you would be the search and display campaigns.
    • Search campaigns are those that are shown on the search network, which includes ads that appear in Google search results and on other search sites - depending on how relevant your keywords are. These are also great for new companies working with a limited budget. I suggest you try out Text Ads and Dynamic Search Ads
      • You MUST strategically select your keywords in order to get the most out of your search campaigns. The most strategic keywords will show ads on both Google and hundreds of other non-Google websites.
    • Display Campaigns: This is a great way to attract potential customers through appealing and attractive images and formats. These types of campaigns are great to develop stronger brand awareness.

In addition, you can check out our free Clever Ecommerce software, which is fully integrated with your favorite ecommerce platforms including Shopify and provides tools to help with your advertising campaigns such as Keyword Generation, Search Ads, Display Ads, Email Ads, Google Remarking Ads, and Google Shopping Ads.

Hi,

My name is Jeremy from D2CMAG. Here are a few tips for getting traffic and conversions.

1-Identify the result your product provides - Ideally your products provide a specific result for a group of people. Hone in on what problem your product solves or what change they provides you will be miles ahead of many brands.

2-Identify your target audience. After you understand what result your products provide, identify who has the problem your product solves. There's a segment of the population that needs what you offer. Don't sell to everyone, sell to that specific group of people.

3-Identify your platform. Once you know who you are speaking to, identify where they are on a daily basis. Is your target audience on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube. Google the user stats and interview some of your audience.

4-Speak their language. Get to know what is in the hearts and minds of your target customer. Don't sell them your product, understand what they truly want whether it's a better life, losing weight, spending time with their children, etc. Know what makes them tick and speak to them on a personal level. Don't sell, truly connect.

5-Blend organic and paid strategy. Build a community of people who connect with your brand because your brand understand them. Use organic content to entertain, educate, support and serve your community of current and potential buyers then run advertising to explain how the steps to get to the result they want and make using your products one of the steps.

On advertising specifically, prospect - show your ads to people who have never been to your site and use User Generated Content to show them real people use your product. Retarget - Show ads to people have been to your website and give them a reason to purchase by showing them a testimonial, product demonstration or showing someone who has achieved the result they want. Remarket - Advertise to people who have purchased from you in the past and get them to buy more of what will help them and expand into other products. If you are searching for a platform to do this on, I'd try Facebook if your audience is there.

There are many videos on YouTube to show you how to advertise. Take a look and test things out with a few dollars a day to start and optimize to the purchase objective.

In parallel with the above, use Klaviyo to support your email campaigns and make sure to run a cart abandon sequence to sell to people who have added to cart but have not purchased and have a welcome pop up to collect emails from your existing traffic to start.

I hope this helps you get into understanding your customer, driving more traffic and sales.

Happy hunting.

Your internet marketing systems and missions play a huge role in your traffic and changes. To completely increase sales, you must ensure that you are using the right type of advertisement and advancements for your product, image, and goals. You can get an idea from this thing and get a solution.

As I see that you've gotten a few reactions in regards to your site, I'll jump directly to how you can work on your traffic and transformations.

Communicate in their language. You get to know what is in the hearts and brains of your objective clients. Try not to sell them your item; understand what they really need, whether it's a superior life, getting thinner, investing energy with their youngsters, and so on. Realize what really matters to them and address them on an individual level. Try not to sell, just interface.

Combining both natural and paid procedures, Fabricate a local area of individuals who interface with your image in light of the fact that your image gets them. Use natural substances to engage, instruct, support, and serve your local community of current and potential purchasers, and then run advertising to clarify the means  to get the result they require and make utilizing your items one of the means.
