I've recently started using variants in my Facebook dynamic product advertisements and I'm relying on Shopify's native Facebook Pixel Integration. However, I discovered that when you land on a variant page, Shopify's integration is not recording the appropriate content_ids for Facebook. All Facebook events refer to the group ID rather than the variant's ID; This includes AddToCart and Purchase which you can imagine completely skews the campaign data.
I feel like I'm doing something incorrectly because I couldn't imagine why Shopify, as an eCommerce specialized platform, would not insert product variations when variations are the default way to sell items... anyone have advice?
