Verify my business for Google Merchant Center and Facebook?

I'm a little stuck here on how to get verified when I'm not exactly a registered business yet. Just a self proclaimed sole proprietor. My Facebook ads account got restricted and the only way to appeal is to be verified. So do I actually need to get registered locally or is my own personal information enough? How does everyone else go about this process?
