SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
We - a mother and son team - are seeking guidance to elevate sales for our online Shopify store, annstylestore.com. We've garnered positive reviews and have a loyal customer base, but our online visibility remains limited. Our Etsy shop has been a success story with over 40,000 sales and a consistent 5-star rating. However, translating this success to our Shopify venture is proving very difficult. We offer a diverse range of fashion accessories and have the unique capability to create custom print shirts, thanks to our in-house printing setup.
Our current challenge is amplifying our online presence. While we understand the value of SEO, its slow pace and difficulty in competing with well-established companies are notable hurdles. A previous marketing effort through a specialist on Fiverr did yield some sales, but the cost was not sustainable against the profits. We are currently marketing through Google Ads, and it occasionally gets sales, but not enough for a profit against the marketing.
We are specifically looking for cost-effective and impactful strategies to increase our site's traffic and awareness. Our immediate goal is modest: to achieve at least five sales per day. Additionally, we would greatly appreciate advice on prioritizing our steps to achieve this goal, ensuring we focus on the most effective actions first to build our online presence and reach our target sales number.

Here's what I would recommend looking at to reach your target sales :
1) If you haven't already try out TikTok shop. It's relatively new and their site boasts that some Tiktok shop livestreams have 50% conversion rates. You can also do influencer / micro influencer marketing through tikTok shop, where the influencer gets an affiliate fee.
2) Start posting regularly on socials in general. Social commerce is growing worldwide, especially among Gen Zers and Millenials. Also the chances of going viral with your product are much higher if you post regularly across platforms.
3) Personalization + LiveChat: Add a way for customers to get personalized recommendations and help. Personalization can help take that traffic you are already getting and get more sales out of that. I'm biased, but I would recommend adding an AI agent to your site, so your customers can get personalized shopping recommendations 24/7 and with no delay. I would recommend trying the following:
Reach out to nano/micro influencers (having as little as 1K followers but a good engagement rate) and give them one/some of your products for free (should be closely related to what they post about. Wouldn't be great if you send a straw hat to a nano-influencer that likes bracelets). You would tell them who your are (a mom and son team) to build an emotional connection with them, and tell them that they are not obliged to post about your brand, however you would greatly appreciate if they do post about you if they like your products. They can leverage the fact that you are greatly successful on etsy and are now selling on your own shopify store.
Note: Your story has the ability to build an emotional connection between you and your customers and your influencers. Leverage this and use this as a differentiator to your competitors. Also leverage the fact of how successful you are on etsy and now have a shopify store.
