I have tried so many ways and spent hours trying to connect my shop www.catbou.online to Facebook but nothing has worked. Facebook is recognising my website as spam and not allowing my to add products to my Facebook business page.
Does Anyone out there have any solution to my problem? Thank you in advance.

Hey, @CatBou!

Lulu here from the Shopify Support team. Thanks for reaching out here, and I'll be more than happy to help you out.

Can you go to your Shopify admin and click 'Facebook' and the 'Account' and send me a screenshot from there? Is there a notice somewhere from Facebook saying that they are recognising your website as spam? Could you send me on a screenshot of that too, please? Once I have a bit more information I can take a look for you!

In the meantime, there are some steps you can try that have helped others get their Facebook connected to Shopify.

1. Can you double-check your Facebook template is set to "Shopping", if it is set to anything else, it will not work. Here's how you would find the section to check what page template is being used:

  • Go to the Facebook page you are an administrator for
  • Click 'Settings'
  • Click 'Templates and Tabs' - If this section says anything but 'Shopping', click 'Edit
  • Click 'View Details' on Shopping and 'Apply Template'

2. Next, please make sure you have enabled the Shop Tab:

  • Click Settings at the top-right corner of your Facebook Page.
  • Then click Templates and Tabs from the menu on the left.
  • Click the Add a Tab button and click Add Tab next to the Shop option.
  • You should see the Shop tab again on your Page now.

3. Lastly, we need to make sure the page is published (on facebooks side, the connection in the admin does not mean it is published):

To Publish Shop Page:

  • Click Settings at the top of your Page
  • From General, click Page Visibility
  • Click the setting to "Page published"
  • Click Save Changes

After all these settings have been configured, please log out and log back in using a chrome browser and let me know how you get on and if you see anything strange along the way send on those screenshots so I can take a look.

Speak soon!

Thank you for your helpful advise I will be following that and will be working on that. I had contacted Facebook few days ago about this aswell and it turns out they had blocked my website and that’s why it wasn’t adding and marked a span but after appealing my website now is unblocked. Am soo happy now I can improve my shop and advertise properly. Let you know how I go. Thank you very much.
