SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hi there Everyone. Hope you all are having a good and happy day.
I need some help from you guys. There is some speed and resources loading issue on my website https://statuscaptions.com/
Despite having a fast internet, pages on my website are loading slowly and same goes for the categories. Images on the site also take a while to load. I don't understand why is this happening. I tried to minimize the load but all in vain. No effect on loading time. Please do share if you have a better solution for it.
Waiting for your kind replies. 🙂
It does appear to be slow to respond for me in the UK. I would speak to your developer if you have one to help get to bottom of the issue.
Hi Elisa-
This is a Wordpress site, not a Shopify site. But, either way, take a look at Google page speed testing tool. It will help you diagnose issues causing the site to run slowly.
Running on WebPageTest.org your site is actually loading decently at just under 4 seconds.

Images are decently sized, which is good

So overall this isn't horrible, but using these tools you can identify some other areas to improve.

I re-ran that test - fully loaded time is 5.07seconds which isn't great, seems slower than that from the UK for me also
There are a lot of factors that go into load time - speed of the servers/hosting you are using for the site, use of code including javascript, CSS (which can be dictated by the themes you are using), 3rd party scripts/tags (your site has a lot of these), image size, caching, etc.
These tools can help pinpoint issues - there are a lot of Wordpress plugins that can help compressing images, caching, minifying code - but since this is a Shopify forum, you may have better luck looking at the Wordpress resources available.
To start, I would review the suggestions in this test as it breaks down each component of the page load - when you open up some of the sections it will point you to the types of Wordpress plugins that can help with that particular issue.
Hope that helps
