When order is Delivered, emails are not sent

Hello Shopify Community,

 

I am using "Other" tracking method (Not FEDEX etc), Just other and then i put link as well tracking, which sends customers to outbound tracking companies website. 

 

My items are delivered to customers and i want to let them know and also thank them that, items from our end has been delivered. I checked settings of "Customer notifications" and both "Local Delivery" and "Shipping Update" are all On, but, what i see, seems like because its "other" tracking method and not integrated into Shopify, system can't understand that items are delivered.

So question is: How i can mark those orders are "completed" or "delivered" and same time, email to be send as it delivered and say thanks for shopping with us?

  • Select the specific order you want to update.
  • Change the order status to Fulfilled and add a note (e.g., "Delivered to customer").
  • Save the update.

This ensures that the order status reflects delivery from your end.

2. Set Up a Custom Email Notification

To notify customers and thank them when orders are delivered, you can use Shopify’s automation tools or third-party apps:

  • Shopify Flow (For Shopify Plus Users): Create an automation flow that triggers an email when the order status changes to “Delivered.”
  • Third-Party Apps: Apps like Klaviyo or Shopify Email allow you to set up custom email campaigns. You can design an email template with a message like:
    "Hi [Customer Name], your order has been delivered! Thank you for shopping with us. If you have any questions or need help, feel free to reach out."

3. Add a Manual Step for Notifications

If you prefer a simpler approach, you can:

  • Go to Orders in Shopify Admin.
  • Use the Bulk Actions option to select all delivered orders.
