Which Email Marketing app to use privy, MailChimp or both?

Hello people 

I'm ready to lunch my store, I just want to get this last bit correctly as it is confusing me, the email marketing apps, from my understanding so far, both Privy and MailChimp generate pop-ups asking customers to leave their email for promotional materials and discounts.

Now my question is how is that different from subscribing to our newsletter section on the main page, and do I need to use both apps or just one?

There are a lot of options, you might end up trying a few. My current setup is Mailchimp to manage my lists, and Sumo for building that list with popups.

I like Sumo because of the variety of templates, A/B testing, and different options (popup, scroll bar, sneak up).

Privvy is good too, I just got comfortable with Sumo.

I do not used email marketing any more
What's ever I send, mail get in spam box.

Joe , How do you do that? I haven't launched yet but  I want separate lists for my launch list, regular mailing list, rewards members and possibly previous customers. How do I separate then? How do I capture them separately?

In Mailchimp, you can create separate lists. Then in Sumo you can choose which list the captured email will go to.

Each list in Mailchimp will have a different "action url", so no matter how you're capturing emails, you can set it to the specific list you want.
