Which version of shopify supports friendly URLs?

We are looking to migrate off an old ecommerce system but need to keep search equity thus our currently URL naming convention.  Which version of Shopify will allow me to achieve this requirement.  I've heard this can't happen unless you choose the $2k/version (Shopify Plus)...hoping this is not the case and can be at least achievable with Advanced Shopify.

Unfortunately for your case, Shopify has a very defined url structure. You can change handles and there are a couple variations on urls to a product page or collection, but you can't alter the base structure (/products/handle  or /collections/handle).

Thanks MW.  So despite this constraint, which I can understand, to get more control of URL names that I do have control of, do I need the $2k version at a minimum? thanks

Spelunka, no I don't believe even Plus gets that option. there are things you can do with redirects but the real url structure you can't alter even with Plus.
