SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hey there, I’ve been running a clothing store for about 3 months now ( AslanCentral.com ) and I’ve had good success with organic marketing and my conversion rate was always between 1-3%. The problem now is that I’ve started with TikTok paid ads and I’ve been seeing some great results in terms of cpc cpm ctr and even a lot of add to carts from the ad and initiated checkouts (13 in total with a value of 366€ with an ad spend of 40). Unfortunately I have not gotten a single sale yet through my new campaign and I really don’t understand why because seemingly my checkout is the problem but I can’t seem to find what it is. I have free shipping and no extra taxes my customers have to pay. I also target first world countries like Germany France the Netherlands United Kingdom etc. I’d be grateful for any help. I left my site link here for better answers. Thanks beforehand.
Hi Kyw0291,
Does your shop offer shipping options to these countries you have listed? I think the fastest way to test out what's wrong is to ask someone you know from those countries to make a purchase and record the purchase steps.
Another possibility could be that customers hesitate to pull the trigger because they did not deem your site trustworthy enough. Here are a few things you can do:
1. Showcase testimonials on your homepage & product reviews on your product page
2. If you have an IG, link the feed to your homepage
3. What kind of peace-of-mind service can you offer? Free return? How to contact you?
4. What kind of security your site is using to ensure customers have a safe checkout experience?
Lastly, it can be about the quality of traffic. You should focus on channels that bring you the most customers. Other than checking Google analytics or Shopify analytics, you should ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.
Hope this helps!

Shopify Community is helpful, BUT... why not start asking your customers for feedback instead?
The Ultimate 12 Best Practices to Growing Your Shopify Store
I think your shop looks pretty good. One thing I noticed off the bat is your products don't have descriptions!!
This is definitely causing big drop-off of purchasing customers. Descriptions are the place where you entice the potential customer and elicit some emotion from them.
I'd start just by using Shopify's Magic AI description generator. Plus if you want to A/B test and optimize these descriptions, please check out my free app Crowly. 😃
In basic terms it auto-generates descriptions and/or pricing and continuously tests the best performer against new ones. As traffic comes in, the app will find the ideal pricing and descriptions for each of your products
Alternatively, If you prefer a more hands-on approach, you can handpick descriptions and pricing to test (generic A/B testing) in app.
The app has a free plan + I'd really love some feedback as well
If you like it, i'd be happy to send you an app credit so you can test out the Plus plan.
All the best,
Ethan
