Why are my products needing a GTIN or MPN in Google Merchant Center?

Hey Everyone,

141 products in Shopify show that they need a GTIN or MPN. We are manfacturer of candles and Goat mIlk products. They were fine until recently but now...no sales or hits on google sales at all. I have contacted Google Tech Support and the Merchant Center shows all active. Shopify shows 147 inactive for this error. I have added GTIN and/or MPN in field , checked and unchecked the custom product, and all to no avail. I have talked with SHopify Tech Support and they offer no suggestions...nevertheless, I cannot get it fixed? Does anyone have any ideas please? My sales are nil

This is a common problem with the google shopping channel app you are using. It has been bugged for over a year now. Not sure why they don't resolve the issue.

 

You have two choices, either add the barcodes using a supplement feed: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7439058?hl=en

 

Or use a data feed app that works, for example, I use for my clients: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
