Hello Everyone. Not sure if this is the correct channel for this.I am having trouble with Shopify Analytics.

It seems like events like addtocart are triggering correctly on the "real time view", but when i check "reports" the event has not been counted.

This is being a real issue because I am using the API to connect Shopify to my META ads, and META is not properly receiving the info. Some days I see lots of events in Shopify and none in META, and some Days they appear lots of events on META and none on Shopify. Purchases not being tracked either.

Support told me that it is usual that reports take up to a week to get updated and 24_48 hours to be sent to META. This is the first time I heard of this and this makes it impossible to optimice my META campaigns. I have always seen some correlation on META and Shopify reports at the end of the day. I am not seeing any correlation now.

Pixel and API set-up is done correctly, and I have checked events on real time on META and they work fine. It is a Shopify problem.

Anyone else facing this issue? Thank you so much in advance.

It happens and the channel app Is not optimized yet. The permanent solution is to set up conversion tracking with Google tag manager and analytics via Google Analytics 4.

So this is a Shopify problem and everyone is suffering from this, right?

If I set all up with Google Tag Manager and Analytics, can I send that data to Facebook? Like, instead of using the META and Shopify API integration, use a Google and META API integration?

Yes. people initially start tracking using API integration and later on move to google tag manager. because google tag manager enables us to add code to the website and track data seamlessly. it better to track website event using google tag manager and best if you can setup server side tracking. it enables to bypass the ad blocker and ios 14 update.
