Why aren't alt texts saving in my image library?

i tried adding alt text in the images from my library, but the alt texts are not saving it up. When I check the images again it seems empty (alt tag space).

You may be doing it wrong, we're doing it and it works perfectly fine for us.

Yes, if the image/video is attached one can see what's wrong.
