Hi,

i have 2 discount codes active at the moment but the sistem doesn't track correctly the performance. for one code it tracks just the order value and for the other discount code neither the value nor the number used.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks!

Damiano

Hi @DamianoL !

I'd like to help you with this. Can you tell me exactly where you are looking for this data? I would love to see some examples of the discount codes history vs the reporting you are cross referencing.

If you can provide me with more context on this, I'll be glad to look it over.

Cheers!

Hi @Holly ,

thank you for contacting me.

I just check in the section "discounts" on the left menu and in the area where I create the promo codes.

Please find attached a couple of screenshots.

Thanks

Thanks for those screenshots. From what I can see, the discount you shared (CHOCO20%) is not showing the number used. Can you also send me a screenshot of the discount code that is not tracking the number used OR the total sales?

Are you able to confirm whether these discount codes were actually used?

Hi @Holly ,

Yes exactly myissue, i don't understand why isn't showing the number used and the total sales.

i am sure these two codes have been used becuase we received orders with the discount applied.

in the attaqched screenshot you can see another active promo code for which the system is showing only the sales.

Thanks for that additional screenshot.

Upon further investigation, it appears that this issue is one of the limitations of the discount performance feature. Our developers are looking for ways to improve this metric in future updates to our system. For now, they are working on the assumption that this can be caused by one of these issues:

  • A technical issue that is causing the number to not update
  • A possible data delay from where the "performance" number pulls from
  • The information does not update if there's been an edit to the discount code itself

In any case, there is no workaround at the present time. The only way to see the accurate metric of performance is to utilize the "sales by discount" report in your Shopify Analytics.

With all that being said, I will be submitting a request to our developers to improve upon this issue in future platform updates.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Cheers!

Hi Holly,

I have run into a similar problem when we are testing the discount code to track sales $, as shown in the attached photo. On our end it only shows the number of use but not the total $ in sales( Though we did just do a small amount for testing purpose). Not sure if the platform actually tracks the total in sales normally? Thanks

Hi @jackiejcjc

Ren here to lend Holly a hand.

At this time, the specific discount summary only lists the amount of times the discount was used. In order to see specific discount values, you need to be on a Shopify plan (or higher) and you call pull these values by going to your Sales Reports.

If you are currently on the basic plan, I would encourage you to view our Plan comparison page here, and see whether upgrading would benefit your business at this time. Upgrading would include the feature you need as far as viewing discounts by sales through Professional Reports.

That being said, if you're not ready to upgrade yet, we do have some third-party options available that can help you create custom reports from any data in your store, such as Data Export Reports.

Let me know if I can clarify any of the above for you!
