Hi,
I am using the Shopify Google App channel to import my products to Google Merchant Centre via Content API.
There was a number of errors due to the Title of the products. I have since update the products Titles to resolve this Google Shopping errors. However, even after updating the product titles in Shopify, they are not being updated in Google Merchant Centre. Thus GMC believes the errors are still present and not displaying my products.
Am I right in thinking, these should sync up, to be the same in both locations?
If so, how long does it take?
Thanks
Yes, you are correct that the product information should sync between Shopify and Google Merchant Center, including the product titles. When you make changes to your product titles in Shopify, the updates should be reflected in Google Merchant Center as well.
The synchronization process between Shopify and Google Merchant Center may take some time. Generally, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to be reflected in Google Merchant Center. However, this duration may vary depending on various factors, such as the number of products being synced or potential delays in Google's system.
If you still face issues after waiting for 24 hours, you can reach out to Shopify support or Google Merchant Center support for further assistance. They can help you identify the cause of the problem and guide you through the troubleshooting process.
Hi,
The update has not taken place since 27th April. So I have raised a request with Google Support.
There is not option to manual request feed update. Not one that I can find.
thanks for you feedback.
Hello @Casey03,
Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
Yes, you are correct that the product titles should sync up between Shopify and Google Merchant Center in order to resolve the errors and display your products correctly on Google Shopping.
In general, updates to your product information in Shopify should be synced to Google Merchant Center automatically within 24-48 hours. However, there may be times when the sync is delayed due to technical issues or other factors.
To force a manual update of your product data in Google Merchant Center, you can follow these steps.
1. Log in to your Google Merchant Center account
2. Click on "Products" in the left-hand menu
3. Click on the "Feeds" tab at the top of the page
4. Find the feed that corresponds to your Shopify integration and click on its name
5. Click on the "Fetch now" button to initiate a manual update of your product data
After initiating the manual update, it may take some time for the changes to be reflected in Google Merchant Center. If you are still experiencing issues after trying these steps, it may be helpful to contact the Shopify support team or the Google Merchant Center support team for further assistance.
