Why can't I connect Instagram to my online store in the US?

I am attempting to connect instagram to my shopify store. I have successfully connected Facebook already. I am getting the message cannot connect this asset, unsupported country. My location in Instagram says the US. Any ideas would be helpful.

Instagram business accounts are not available in all countries, and if your account is registered in a country where Instagram business accounts are not supported, you may encounter this error message when trying to connect it to Shopify.

However, since you are in the United States, which is a supported country for Instagram business accounts, this may not be the issue. It's also possible that there is a temporary technical issue with the Instagram or Shopify platforms that is preventing the connection.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Make sure that your Instagram account is set up as a business account. To check this, go to your Instagram profile, tap the three lines in the top right corner, and select "Settings" from the menu. From there, select "Account," and then "Switch to Professional Account." Follow the prompts to set up your business account.

2. Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Facebook Page and Instagram account from Shopify. 

3. Check that you have the latest version of the Instagram app installed on your device. If not, update the app and try again.

4. If none of the above steps work, try reaching out to Instagram and Shopify support teams for further assistance. They may be able to help you identify the issue and provide a solution.

Yesterday there was an issue with Meta APIs, that might caused issue connecting Instagram.  

This issue is resolved now, so try again connecting your account with Shopify and it should work now.

If you want to Auto post your Shopify products to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter then you can install Social Schedular app.

Thanks for your reply. I am still getting the same issue. I was able to connect my facebook account and create a shop but with instagram I'm getting unsupported country. Any idea how to solve this?

Check that your Instagram account is not set to a restricted country: Instagram has some country-specific restrictions in place that may prevent you from connecting your account to Shopify. Make sure that your Instagram account is not set to a country that is restricted by Instagram

Try connecting your Instagram account from a different device or network: Sometimes connectivity issues can be caused by problems with your device or network. Try connecting your Instagram account to your Shopify store from a different device or network (such as a different computer or a mobile device connected to cellular data instead of Wi-Fi) to see if that resolves the issue.
