Why can't I link my business Instagram to a shoppable Facebook page?

Hi I am trying to connect Shopify to Instagram so that on Instagram, our page is shoppable there as well. It is a business account that is already connected to our facebook page.

I went to Facebook on sales channel and linked our facebook page which I am one of the admins of with full access, and every time I do so, it says I am not eligible because I am not an admin of the page. But I am one of the admins. Does anyone know the reason for this and how I can fix it? I would really love for our Instagram to be shoppable.

I have run into a similar error with a merchant I develop for. 

When you try to authenticate, is the instagram account you are going in between to Facebook also an approved content creator or brand partner and/or the brand instagram itself? 

Is the store successfully set up on Facebook, just not linking to instagram? 

Has the page applied for monetization status and been rejected in the past?

Thanks for responding. I'm not sure how to tell if our account is an approved content creator, but it is for just the brand itself and nothing else. It is eligible for branded content and monetization. The store is also not set up on Facebook. I have all my products listed and ready on shopify, I just want it to transfer to instagram.

Some more troubleshooting questions to help:

Do you have the Facebook account page set up as a business?

Does Facebook recognize your catalog from Shopify?

Have you assigned a person as the business page manager as an admin?

The Facebook account is a business account I believe. I'm not sure how I can tell if facebook recognizes our catalog from shopify. I believe I am an admin of the account. This is the page that shows "people with facebook access" which includes myself. is this the same as being an admin?
