Hey!

I have just made my first store about 2 weeks ago. I have put all the needed information to make the store active. I tried to make a order with one person, and after filling all the information, and made the order, it said "this store cannot make real orders". Im confused what is wrong, can someone help me how to fix it?

Hi Natalie!

  1. If your store is still on a trial you will not be able to make a sale until the trial has finished and you are on an active plan. Reac
  2. Check your Settings > Payment settings and make sure your payment gateway is not on test mode.
  3. If you are using Shopify payments, you will need to make sure your payments account is verified before making a sale. If there is a red banner on your admin home page, you should be able to verify the documents there.

Please note you can always write back in to us on LiveChat, or request a call (if the option is available), on our support page here.

Hope this helps!

Hello @natalieounas1,

Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

It sounds like your Shopify store is currently in test mode, which means that you are not able to process real orders or charge customers. In order to process real orders and accept payments, you will need to deactivate the test mode.

Follow the below steps to deactivate test mode.

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Click on the Settings tab and then click on the Payment providers option.
3. Find the payment provider that you want to activate and click on the Edit button next to it.
4. In the Payment provider settings section, scroll down to the Test mode section.
5. Make sure that the "Enable test mode" checkbox is unchecked.
6. Click on the Save button to save your changes.

Once you have deactivated the test mode, your store should be able to process real orders and accept payments from customers.

Hi @natalieounas1

This is Richard from PageFly - Landing Page Builder App.

Please kindly check one of the following reasons:

  • Please make sure your payment gateway is not in test mode.
  • And may I know if are you a Shopify Partner, and if your store is a development store? If so, then store owner will first need to be transferred to the customer. If you have a dev store, you will need to switch the development store to a paid plan and retained ownership.
Please check if your store's plan does not allow payment processing.
  • Your store is using a third-party payment gateway that is triggering this error.

I hope my suggestion will be helpful to you.

Warm regards,

Richard | PageFly
