Why does my blog rank for a keyword and not the blog post?

Hi everybody,

I was googling on a friends computer the other day to see if ,and where, I was appearing for a keyword that we have been working on.  I found us way down on page 16 but the link was to our blog https://cocksonsocks.com/blogs/news rather than on the blog post we've written that targets the keyword we were checking https://cocksonsocks.com/blogs/news/bristol-hen-party-guide.

Does anyone have any insight as to why this might be and what we can do to get the content we have produced ranking rather than the blog?
