SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
Hey,
We recently launched a Facebook ads campaign, directing clients to our store at https://aliness.co.uk
We noticed however really poor engagement, mostly the traffic drops off after only 15 seconds, bounce rate is like 85%.
The ad is targeted well to health aficionados and parents, but the engagement is nothing like Organic or Google Shopping ads.
Is that normal?
Hello @MagdaB,
This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
A high bounce rate and short session duration can indicate that visitors are not finding what they are looking for on your website or are not engaging with your content. This is not necessarily normal or expected, especially if your ad is targeted well and your website is optimized for conversions.
There could be several reasons for the poor engagement, such as:
1. The landing page isn't relevant to the ad
Make sure your ad's message matches your landing page's message, and that the landing page is tailored to the audience you're targeting.
2. The landing page is not user-friendly
Ensure that your landing page is easy to navigate, has a clear call-to-action (CTA), and provides the information users are seeking.
3. The website isn't optimized for mobile devices
If your website is not mobile-friendly, it may be difficult for users to navigate and engage with your content on their mobile devices.
4. Slow loading time
If your website takes too long to load, users are more likely to leave your page before engaging with your content.
5. Ad fatigue
If your target audience has been repeatedly exposed to your ad, they may become fatigued and less likely to engage with it.
To improve engagement, you should consider analyzing your website's metrics, reviewing your ad targeting and messaging, and optimizing your landing page for conversions. Additionally, you could test different ad creatives and landing page variations to see what resonates best with your audience.

Hi @MagdaB are you targeting existing customers too? Let me know if you want to try for repeat sales. Getting existing customers to buy-again even just once more per year could make a big difference. Love to know more.
One potential factor could be the relevance and appeal of your ad content. It might be worth reassessing the ad creative, ensuring it aligns closely with the interests and preferences of your target audience. Have you considered experimenting with trending capcut templates in your Facebook ads? It could be an exciting way to refresh your content and boost audience engagement. Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like further insights!
