Please help me. Why can’t I connect my Paypal to my Facebook channel? It doesn’t give me an error message or anything. It just spins for a few seconds and does nothing. This has been a problem for months.
I've done this twice now. The second time, after deactivating paypal to reactivate it. Facebook is still saying that I don't have Paypal activated, but it says it's active under my payment methods. So what now?

I have the same issue. I've opened tickets with both shopify and facebook. It's been a month and no follow up

No, even Shopify is ignoring my support ticket.

I opened a ticket with both facebook and Shopify - neither of them have responded to me.
1. Select Facebook & Instagram tab under sales channels.
2. Select Settings, at the top next to Overview
3. Under Checkout method, PayPal option will have button to connect
4. PayPal screen will pop up. Log into your business PayPal account and accept terms to connect.
5. (optional) set up automatic deposit to business bank account.
This worked in 2 seconds

Yes we're aware. While it may work for you, not for others. I have a ticket open with both Shopify and Facebook.
Shopify finally got back to me last night and confirmed that the forwarding links are incorrect, and they're working with FB to correct it.
I did this and it actually worked — seemingly. But when I check the sales channel after connecting it still says disconnected. When you did this did PayPal stay connected on the sales channel?
Shopify is aware of the issue now. They said that it's redirecting to the wrong Paypal link, and that they are working with Meta to get it fixed. The more people that reach out to Shopify and Meta about the issue, hopefully they can get it fixed faster 🙂

I am still struggling with connecting paypal to facebook shops
My ticket is still open with Shopify, Facebook, and PayPal. Still no resolution and it's been open since July
I finally got this to work in September after opening a ticket with Shopify. I can't recall exactly what I did to get it to work, but it was messy. More or less, I kept trying to connect Shopify to Facebook from different access points in the Shopify backend, and finally one access point worked successfully. I think I even tried through Facebook Commerce Manager. When it finally worked I couldn't even recall how or why it finally worked, because I felt I had already tried it unsuccessfully.
I would continue to pester Shopify about it. They tried to blame Facebook at first, but then took some responsibility. Not sure if they did something to our account once I had complained, but they certainly stopped hearing from me once it started working. Just know it's possible. Good luck!

Both Shopify and Facebook tickets are still open. I have to send screen recordings about once a week to both of them.
I had the same problem with the spinning wheel and finally got it to connect. Hover over the PayPal.com link at the top of the pop-up until you see the PayPal website you are trying to be connecting to verify - take a screenshot of the link. Open the screenshot and click on the link. It took me directly to the property page and verified immediately. I hope this works for you all too!
