SEO, AdWords, affiliates, advertising, and promotions
With respect to mareting through Facebook, our shop has not been approved and the very general message states we do not meet the criteria. I've read the criteria and don't know how we are in violation of anything? Any ideas about how to get around this. If we can't market our shop via facebook, then this whole thing is less valuable to us.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Hey @TheologicalBook!
In situations like this, we don't particularly have any more context on why your account isn't eligible, as it's handled entirely by Facebook. There are a few requirements for the Facebook sales channel which is generally the cause for this ineligibility. You can see the list of requirements below:
If your business and accounts on Facebook or Instagram are associated with previous policy-violating activity, you can review those decisions (e.g. ad disapproved, page unpublished, community standard violation). If you believe that any of these previous violations were mistakenly flagged, you can appeal them individually.
You should also utilize best practices by providing clear information on what you’re selling or offering, setting clear expectations for shipping and customer service, and making sure you meet customer demand.
If your business is new at creating a presence on Facebook or Instagram, it may help the review process by verifying your business. This can provide more information on your business to include in the seller onboarding review.
If your business is new at creating a presence on Facebook or Instagram, we may need to see more activity that demonstrates trustworthiness. This may include compliant activity in your organic presence, such as Pages or Accounts, or your ad presence.
You must verify your own Website Domain in the same Business Manager account that owns your assets. You can learn more by reading this article.
Is there anything in the list that rings a bell that you think could be preventing your account from being approved? I encourage you to review the following guides and policies to make sure your store qualifies:
I also found another community post where many merchants like yourself are having a similar issue. Some have resolved this issue by reaching out to Facebook and demonstrating confidence that you are meeting the commerce account criteria:
TIP: If you run into any further issues with Facebook or Instagram, we have a fantastic community forum thread right here with steps on how to fix any current known issues for the Facebook channel. I’d also highly recommend looking into Facebook Blueprint where you can discover online learning courses, training programs, and certifications that can help you get the most out of Facebook marketing platforms.
