As an in-house developer, how can I build a Checkout UI Extension?

I'm currently building extensions to replicate the functionality we previously had using checkout.liquid but one of the requirements is to have a Partner account. My company's Shopify store is not a partner account so I've had to develop this separately on my own person partner account. I can't find any information on how I use the UI extensions i've made on my company's Shopify store. Maybe I'm missing something but all the guides i've followed don't explain this part. Any help is appreciated.

Hello @maxgrind

You need to create a development store, and select "Create a store to test and build". Choose "Developer Preview" and then proceed to select "checkout and customer account extensibility".

Next, follow the documentation available at https://shopify.dev/docs/api/checkout-ui-extensions for detailed guidance.

Hello, thanks for the reply.

I'm aware this is a way of doing it, it's just frustrating as an in-house developer as it means you have to create a development store on a separate account, as you cannot be a collaborator on a different store with the same email. It just seems like Shopify have not considered in-house developers when it comes to the Checkout Extensibility migration. Thanks anyway!

Hello @maxgrind

you need to create a partner account. Within the partner account, you can create a development store and implement checkout functionality
