Critical issue with Inbox by Shopify

Hi 👋,

We are currently experiencing the problem of not being able to retrieve messages.

I am sure that this is an error on the part of the Application, because the error message is "Cannot return null for non-nullable field Message.conversation".

I don't know how this happened, but since I couldn't load the messages, I, as a developer, tried to find where the problem could be. It will definitely be a null value in a field where null should not be, I tried to reconstruct the situation where the error could occur and I probably succeeded.

If the customer/guest fills in the name or surname or the content of the message using a space, whether it is a classic space or an invisible character, and sends the given message, the whole application will stop working for the seller, which is quite a drastic error 💀.

I am sending a few screenshots, the language of use is Czech, I apologize for that, but hopefully something will be visible. So, if it were possible, please delete the records that cause this error in the database and let me know.

Hi @mattcha !

It seems like this is a system issue within the app as you already did some troubleshooting and yet, the error still persists. I highly suggest that you reach out to the app developer so, their technical team can further investigate where the issue is coming from.
