Hello everyone,
I'm developing a theme extension app to meet specific customer needs, but I've encountered a limitation. Since Shopify only supports block theme extensions -please correct me if I'm wrong- at the moment and doesn't offer a section theme extension feature, I'm having to edit the theme to add the required sections directly. This works, but it complicates updates and maintenance for clients.
I was wondering if there are any plans or discussions around introducing section theme extensions in the near future. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to add entire sections via app extensions.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so how did you solve?
Any insights into whether Shopify might be considering this for future development?
