Limit of 3 app blocks per target? Why?

Limit of 3 app blocks per target? Why?

Hello Shopify folks,

While testing my checkout UI extension app together with other apps, I discovered that only a maximum of 3 app blocks seem to be allowed per dynamic target in checkout pages.

Number of apps a shop wants to use to place a block somewhere in checkout I see increasing. Hey, that's cool and probably what Shopify intended by introducing checkout UI extensions.

Hence, why this limitation and will this change in future?

Am I missing something?

HI Ebbu,

I believe this limitation is intended to prevent any negative performance impacts on the checkout. This may be revised in the future.

Thank you Liam, see your point.

I would love to see that being revised in the future and hand the decision about performance vs. functionality over to a merchant.
