Post purchase survey not rendering

Hi Everyone,

I tried to follow step by step this tutorial and despite following step by step this tutorial, I am not able to render the survey in the checkout. https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/checkout/thank-you-order-status/build?framework=remix&extension=react

My understanding is that it not required to be Shopify plus to render this extension so before to become one I would like to be sure. Can you help me ?

By following this tutorial, my first ambition was to be able to add a button in front of each product in the order detail page you access when you activate the "classic customer accounts" in the website settings. I you have another idea than using checkout ui extension to do, I am also interested.

Hi GregL,

To render a checkout UI extension, you don't necessarily need to be a Shopify Plus customer (see the plan to feature breakdown here) . Adding a checkout extension to the thank you and order status pages is supported on all plans except Shopify Starter. So the add a Checkout UI extension to thank you and order status pages tutorial should be possible on non-Plus plans. 

If you are following the tutorial step-by-step and still having issues, it's possible that there might be an error within your code. I would recommend checking your console logs for any potential errors or warnings that might be causing the issue.

Also, remember that the checkout UI extension is only visible in the actual checkout, not within the Shopify admin. It's also not visible if the order is paid with Shop Pay.

For the ability to add a button in front of each product in the order detail page, you might want to look into creating a custom template section or using Shopify's AJAX API to modify the cart.

Thank you for your reply Liam. I really copy-pasted the code from the tutorial so I really don't think this is the reason. 

If I am correct a custom template section can't be added via an SHopify app correct ? I am new with Shopify so sorry if this is the case. I would like this button to be create via an app as I would like all the Shopify websites owner to be able to use the tool I am working on without having to code. 

How do I know if I have the Shopify Starter plan ?
