Shipping Options - change order they are displayed

I have several shipping options. Two are pick-up (free at different locations) and others are pay (USPS). The free options always appear by default when a purchase is made and customers aren't paying attention and leaving it free. Is there a way to change the order of my shipping options? Can I put free at the bottom?

How has this not been addressed yet. We often have mistaken selections to "add to a previous order" because it is first on the list and defaulted.  Brutal Shopify can't address this simple request.

Nobody wants to pay for it, it should be a stock option. This is the lowest of low hanging fruit that a Shopify coder could fix in five minutes They are purposely pissing everybody off by not including it, just so they can receive more app revenue. The WORST!

Is it for Shopify Plus only or Shopify Basic and Advanced are also supported?

I hate the standard Shopify solution - Get an app - It'll do a hack job version of fixing the issue and slow down the website with more polluting js and add another point of failure. 

It is a simple fix for Shopify to properly fix this but they just don't bother and now that an app has had a go they are even less likely to try - Great ;-\

They have introduced the option via the API app recently. 

I assume it's because they cannot control the order the API returns the options so including it this way makes it possible.

Annoying but at least it's now an option if you can write apps which I suspect most Partners can, I would have preferred it to take the order in which our API provides the custom shipping options.

It's the carrier API, it's enabled by Shopify (a monthly fee unless you pay yearly and then its free)

I then write a system to provide shipping rates to the Shopify stores based on address and cart content

Agreed!  I think we can all agree we can stop spamming everybody's propriety app-for-pay solution.  We all know there are a million apps that we can pay for to fix this problem.  We want Shopify to tell one of their coders to fix this easy problem - probably would take 2 minutes.

This is ridiculous this hasn’t been addressed by Shopify! There’s no reason an app should be required for this easy fix and obvious error (limitation).

You guys are absolute Heroes! 
We are already using the API because of a Shipping-Rates-App ('pick up' doesnt go through this app tho), so this was a 2-minute fix. Just a few Clicks and it just works!!! 
You should take like 5-10$ as a one-time-purchase since so many Shops need exactly this small tool.

You can easily use BeSure Checkout Rules app to add a rule to reorder shipping methods based on order total, address, product tags, customer tags etc.

This app uses the latest Shopify functions api, which means no impact to your store speed at all. You can setup the app in a few minutes, very easy to do so.

You can Reorder shipping methods in a fixed ranking or by delivery type or by price. You can even create a rule to first sort by, for example, delivery price and then sort again by shipping rate name.
