Context: We run a Shopify website but all our orders, inventory and fulfilments are controlled via Retail Express.
For over a year now when we have fulfilled our Webstore orders in Retail Express they haven't automatically fulfilled in Shopify. After many chats with both Retail Express and Shopify there was zero solution on both ends, so we have been fulfilling orders manually on the Shopify end (after we fulfil them in Retail Express) so we could allocate a tracking number to each order.
That has been fine up until last Wednesday. Shopify have done a massive update and since that update we now cannot manually fulfil our orders on Shopify end due to running a 3rd party app (Retail Express) to fulfil our orders. This means our customers aren't getting their fulfilment email and we cannot allocate tracking numbers to orders. (I have since found a way to manually fulfil our orders in Shopify since the update, however it is long winded)
I spent an hours speaking with both Shopify and Retail Express regarding this problem with Retail Express eventually finding out why we are experiencing this problem. The error message that Retail Express are receiving from Shopify in regards to our fulfilment orders is:

Even though this is the error message, the orders are actually in open or in progress state. Retail express said an app is likely to fault of this error, however I cannot figure out what Shopify app is causing this. Can someone please help us
