Can Track Quantity be set as default especially for cvs impor

I am importing or updating about 20k products daily, the inventory quantity daily as well, all through cvs files.  Is there a way to set my default to track quantity or is there a specific header and command that I need to include in the cvs.  I have the Inventory Tracker set as shopify but should that be changed to manual or something else to automatically set to track quantity.  I cannot manually change 20k products daily, even with the bulk editor.  Any advise?  Thank you for your time.

Thank you and Happy Selling!

Hi Blind-Mice!

to let Shopify automatically track inventory, you would need to set the "Variant Inventory Tracker" column to "shopify" in the CSV import file, as you said.

Is this not working for you? Can you share a screenshot or example of the CSV file?

Thank you for responding,
I tried a small sample to see if this worked and at first no... Then I verified my spelling and corrected "variant" spelling and it magically worked, funny how that happens huh. Thank you again, this has stressed me out for a couple days now. I did have to overwrite the file to get it to change. One other question if I may pertaining to inventory...Since I am a dropshipper and I can not reorder, can we set the system up to not show or delete zero qty items or would it be better manually through the inventory tab and bulk editing? With this changing daily and me having limited or no control I do not want my out of stock inventory to outnumber the available inventory. If you can't reply I understand. Thanks and happy selling.

Hi Blind-Mice,

glad that it worked out!

Regarding your follow-up question: I understand that you want to unpublish products which have gone out of stock automatically. You can achieve this using Shopify Flow app. Simply install the app and create the following workflow:

Let me know if that works!
